End of Year Proceedures

 
FOR GRADUATES
 

June 2006

Tuesday May 30th
   

All debt slips must be in by June 2nd in order to be valid.

  • SENIOR EXAMS - Final exams will be given to seniors during the ODD periods - 1, 3, 5, & 7.
  • TEXTBOOK COLLECTION - Teachers are to collect textbooks from seniors while they are taking their final exam. Check the textbook number against the number that was entered on the textbook card when the book was issued. If the numbers do not match, DO NOT GIVE CREDIT to that individual as having turned in their textbook; rather, issue a debt slip for the cost of the textbook.
  • STACKING OF TEXTBOOKS - Teachers will collect books from seniors and store the books in the classroom.
  • Textbooks will be sent to the gym after you have collected the rest of the student's books later in the month.
  • TEXTBOOK RETURN FORMS - Teachers are to complete one "Textbook Return" form for each book title. Tape the "Textbook Return" form(s) to the top layer of books. Additional forms are available in the faculty office. NOTE: There must be a textbook return form on each set of books. This is important to make sure that each teacher is credited with the books being returned to the book room.
  • GRADE ENTRY- Senior grades can be entered, along with the underclassman, on June 8, 9, 12.
  • TEXTBOOK DEBT NOTIFICATION - Notify those students who have incurred a debt because of a damaged book and inform them of the amount.
  • GRADUATION FEE- Graduation fee ($25.00 - CASH ONLY) must be paid in room 126.
  • SENIOR FAILURE LIST - All teachers are to submit their early senior failure list to Ms. Kwan by 3:00 p.m. on Friday, June 2nd.
  • PAYMENT OF DEBTS - Debts can be paid in room 126 during student's lunch period - CASH OR MONEY ORDER.

NOTE: Seniors with debts will not be able to attend the prom.

Wednesday May 31st

Thursday June 1st
   
  • SENIOR MAKE-UP EXAMS - Seniors who missed an exam on Tuesday or Wednesday are to make these exams up today during their regular class periods.
  • TEXTBOOK COLLECTION - Collect loose textbooks from seniors who did not turn in their textbooks on the regular testing days. Follow procedures as stated above for stacking textbooks and submitting a textbook return form.
  • PAYMENT OF DEBTS - Debts can be paid in room 126 during student's lunch period.
  • LOCKER INSPECTION - Today, Thursday, June 1st, senior division teachers will assist with senior locker cleanup. Lockers should be left clean and all debris placed in the wastebaskets. Vandalism spray will be available to remove any graffiti. At this time any pictures, posters, stickers, etc. should be removed from the walls of the locker and the inside area of the door.
  • LOCKER DAMAGE - Senior division teachers are to notify Mr. Keippel of any damaged lockers so that he can assess the amount of damage and inform you of the dollar amount. If the damaged locker was assigned to two students, then a debt slip must be made out for both students and the assessed amount divided between them. If the damaged locker was assigned to a single individual, then that person is issued a debt slip for the full amount. On the debt slip(s) indicate the locker number of the damaged locker for our records.
  • SENIOR PROM- Marriott Downtown

NOTE: Seniors with debts will not be able to attend the prom.

Friday June 2nd
   
  • FINAL SENIOR FAILURE LIST - All teachers are to submit their final senior failure list to Ms. Kwan by 3:00 p.m. today.
  • TEXTBOOK COLLECTION - Collect loose textbooks from seniors who did not turn in their textbooks on the regular testing days. Follow procedures as stated above for stacking textbooks and submitting a textbook return form.
Tuesday June 6th
   
  • GRADUATION REHEARSAL - Seniors report to the auditorium from 9:00 a.m. - 11:00 am.
  • YEARBOOK DISTRIBUTION - Yearbooks will be distributed to seniors in the auditorium today. Seniors must present their ID cards in order to receive their yearbook - NO ID, NO YEARBOOK. Yearbooks can not be picked up for students who are absent, it must be done in person.
  • SENIOR BBQ - In the courtyard from 11:00 a.m. to noon.
Wednesday June 7th
   
  • GRADUATION REHEARSAL - Seniors report to the auditorium from 9:00 a.m. - 11:00 a.m.
  • CAP & GOWN DISTRIBUTION - Caps and gowns will be distributed in the auditorium today.
  • GRADUATION TICKET DISTRIBUTION - Tickets will be distributed in the auditorium today.
Thursday June 8th
   
  • GRADUATES ARRIVAL - Seniors should arrive at 6:00 p.m. in preparation for the procession.
  • GRADUATION EXERCISES - Graduation exercises begin promptly at 7 p.m., in the gymnasium at North Park University. Parents, relatives and friends will not be admitted once the procession starts. They will have to wait outside until the national anthem has been sung and all the seniors have been seated.
