Hours

Mon. — Fri. (7:00 am — 4:15 pm)
Closed after ninth period on Teachers’ Meeting days.

Books

Books may be checked out for two weeks. They may also be renewed, if needed longer. Overdue books are fined at a rate of 10 cents/day. A replacement charge equal to the cost of the book is assessed for lost books.

Copy Machine

A copy machine is available for the cost of 10 cents per page. Ask for adult assistance.

Printing

Each computer is connected to a printer. At the present time, there is no charge for printing, but patrons are asked to limit printing to five pages/day.  Floppy disks are available at a price of $1.00 each to save work that is not being printed.

Internet Use

Each computer has Internet access with a choice of Internet Explorer or Firefox browsers. 

Scheduling of Library

The library may be reserved by teachers in order to bring entire classes into the library.  Either the computer lab or the tables may be reserved each period. Teachers are asked to make reservations as far in the future as possible to allow time for collaboration and preparation. The librarian is available to teach related information literacy skills in preparation for any library activity and to co-teach the lesson.

Passes

The library is available for student use during lunch periods and after school.  If a student comes to the library at another time, he or she must have a signed pass from the teacher.  All students, at all times except when accompanied by a teacher, must sign in at the front door.

Students who wish to leave during the period to go anywhere but outside must first obtain a pass from a staff member.
